Regulation 17 - submission of the neighbourhood plan to examination

Cheshire West and Chester Council has appointed Mr Andrew Mead BSc (Hons) MRTPI MIQ as independent examiner of the neighbourhood plan. He will consider the plan and all comments made.

Mr Mead wrote to the Council and the Qualifying Body (Christleton Parish Council) on 30 June 2026 with some questions and to clarify some initial procedural matters:

In response to question 17 from the examiner, Bridgemere UK Limited replied on 6 July:

Christleton Parish Council has requested an extension of time to submit their comments and the examiner has agreed to their proposed deadline of 7 August 2026.

Regulation 16 - Publicity stage consultation

Christleton and Littleton Neighbourhood Plan was submitted to Cheshire West and Chester in April 2026 and a period of publicity took place between 30 April and 15 June 2026. During this time, any interested parties were invited to comment on the plan and accompanying documents.

Regulation 14 - Pre-submission consultation

The Christleton and Littleton NP regulation 14 consultation ran from 10 November until 22 December 2025.

Regulations 5, 6 and 7 - Neighbourhood Area designation

Christleton Parish Council applied for a neighbourhood area for the purposes of producing a Neighbourhood Plan for the Christleton & Littleton area. The neighbourhood area includes the civil parishes of Christleton and Littleton.

Following a seven week consultation period, the Christleton and Littleton neighbourhood area was designated on 2 February 2024.
