Regulation 20 - Made Plan
Cheshire West and Chester Council decided to make the Farndon Neighbourhood Plan under Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 on 6 March 2018.
The Farndon Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for Cheshire West and Chester and will be taken into account in local planning decisions. The Council has published a decision statement which sets out the decision to make the neighbourhood plan and the reasons for doing so.

Regulation 19 - Referendum
The Farndon NP referendum took place on 22 February 2018, with 94.5% of voters saying "yes" to the neighbourhood plan.
Regulations 17 and 18 - Examination
Cheshire West and Chester Council appointed Mr Andrew Mead, BSc (Hons) MRTPI MIQ, as independent examiner of the Farndon Neighbourhood Plan. His report was published on 23 October 2017.

Regulation 15 and 16 - Publicity stage consultation and SEA + HRA screening determination
The Farndon NP regulation 16 consultation ran from 6 July to 17 august 2017.
Regulation 14 - Pre-submission consultation
The Farndon NP regulation 14 consultation ended on 28 May 2016.
Regulations 5, 6 and 7 - Neighbourhood Area designation
Farndon's original neighbourhood area was designated on 11 September 2013. As a result of a community governance review, the boundary of Farndon parish was amended with effect from 1 April 2015. The Farndon Neighbourhood Plan Committee submitted a new neighbourhood area application to the Council to extend their neighbourhood area to the extent of the new parish boundary. This area was designated on 23 October 2015.
