The 'Call for Sites' will be open between Wednesday 14 October and Friday 6 November 2026. This is an opportunity to tell us about any land/site for potential development that has not been submitted to us previously.
Tarvin Neighbourhood Plan
Regulations 5 and 6 - revised Neighbourhood Area application
Tarvin Parish Council has applied for a revised neighbourhood area for the purpose of producing a modified Neighbourhood Plan for the Tarvin neighbourhood area. The neighbourhood area covers part of the civil parish of Tarvin and is shown on the map below.
A six week consultation period will run from Thursday 22 October to Thursday 3 December 2026, and anyone who would like to comment on the revised neighbourhood area can do so by email to neighbourhoodplanning@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk quoting the reference number NP017.
A copy of the application documents including a map of the proposed Neighbourhood Area can be viewed below. The public notice includes details on where paper copies of the documents can be viewed and how to comment by post.

October 2026 - Tarvin NP review process begins.
Regulations 19 and 20 - Made Plan
Cheshire West and Chester Council decided to make the Tarvin Neighbourhood Plan under Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 on 9 September 2019.
The TarvinNeighbourhood Plan now forms part of the Development Plan for Cheshire West and Chester and will be taken into account in local planning decisions. The Council has published a decision statement which sets out the decision to make the neighbourhood plan and the reasons for doing so.

Referendum
The Tarvin NP referendum took place on 5 September, with 94% of voters saying "yes" to the neighbourhood plan.
Regulations 17 and 18 - Examination
Cheshire West and Chester Council appointed Mr Andy Mead BSc (Hons) MRTPI MIQ as independent examiner of the Tarvin Neighbourhood Plan. His report was published on 30 April 2019.
Regulation 15 and 16 - Publicity stage consultation and SEA + HRA screening determination
The Tarvin NP regulation 16 consultation ran from 28 January to 11 March 2019.

The Tarvin NP regulation 14 consultation took place between 8 August and 26 September 2018.
Regulations 5, 6 and 7 - Neighbourhood Area designation
Tarvin Parish Council submitted a neighbourhood area application to the Council and the neighbourhood area was designated on 19 November.
